Westworld Episode 7 Photos: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Star Tessa Thompson Returns In “Trompe L’Oeil”

Now that we are gearing up for the weekend, HBO has officially released their preview images for “Trompe L’Oeil” featuring the return ofThor: Ragnarok/CreedstarTessa Thompson. Hit the jump to take a look at the Westworld episode 7 photos and learn more about this weekend’s episode.
First up, we see William (Jimmi Simpson) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) looking concerned at something off camera. What kind of trouble might have popped up?
Westworld techs in red and wbhite hazmat suits invade Maeve’s brothel.
Maeve (Thandie Newton) looks toward the door nervously. Has DELOS figured out that Maeve is operating off her loop and outside of her programming?
Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) have a very tense conversation. Is Bernard confronting her about the satellite leak? Or perhaps Bernard is getting flack for the trouble his bosses new narrative is causing on the park?
Thor: Ragnarok/CreedstarTessa Thompsonreturns as Delos executive Charlotte Hale.
It seems like her visit to the park may be in service of proving a point to Doctor Ford (Anthony Hopkins).
And lastly, we have this shot of Dolores, who week by week seems to be coming into her own in this series.
As we previously told you, Westworld episode 7 is titled “Trompe L’Oeil,” which is the French phrase meaning to “deceive the eye.” The phrase is usually used to describe an art technique that uses “realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions,” for example, forced perspective is a comparable illusion in architecture.

Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and William (Jimmi Simpson) journey into treacherous terrain; Maeve (Thandie Newton) delivers an ultimatum; Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) considers his next move.
The episode is directed byStephen Williams, who has been working in television for 23 years, having worked onDark Angel, The Returned, The Walking Dead, Bloodline, How To Get Away With Murder,andRay Donovan. Williams has a long history with Bad Robot and Westworld showrunner Jonathan Nolan, having directed 26 episodes ofLostand four episodes ofPerson of Interest, as well as producing and directing the failed seriesUndercovers. The episode was written byCharles Yu, a story editor on the series who also is credited with otherWestworldepisodes “Chestnut” and “The Stray.”
