‘Rogue One’ Images: Jyn Erso, Orson Krennic, And Cassian Andor Are Ready For Their Closeups

As we saw last year withThe Force Awakens, theStar Warsmarketing team knows how to reveal tons of imagery, footage, and juicy detail without giving away much at all. Now, asRogue Oneenters the final weeks of its promotional campaign, it seems to be sticking to a similar formula of intense secrecy combined with total ubiquity. You can’t throw a rock these days without hitting yet another newRogue OneTV spot or specialty poster or cast interview, and yet I’m feeling pretty confident that we can trust Disney not to “spoil” anything significant. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Which brings us to Disney’s latest volley in their relentless campaign forRogue One: A Star Wars Story. The studio’s unveiled a whole bunch of hi-resRogue Oneimages, some of which are just higher-quality versions of photos we’ve already seen and others of which appear to be completely new. Either way, you may probably rest assured you’re in good hands with Disney. At least unless you’re the kind of spoilerphobe who’s sworn off allRogue Onemarketing already, in which case you’ve probably already scrolled past this post. See the newRogue Oneimages below.

Above you can see the latestRogue Oneimages rounded up byStar Wars News Net.

The characters most prominently featured in this round of photos are the Rebel heroes, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen), Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and of course Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). (Unfortunately,Riz Ahmed’s Bodhi Rook is nowhere to be seen. I really hope that doesn’t mean he’s going to die early on.) But bad guy Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) gets a nice dramatic shot too, and there are some neat photos of various Stormtroopers in battle. And let’s not forget K-2SO, that adorably awkward droid voiced byAlan Tudyk. Collectively, they paint a picture of a movie that really emphasizes the “war” part ofStar Wars.
