New Terrence Malick Film ‘Knight Of Cups’ Set For Berlin Festival Premiere
TheTerrence MalickfilmKnight of Cupswas announced back in 2011, just months after the premiere ofThe Tree of Life, which at the time was his first film in six years. It has taken a few years for the film to arrive; he releasedTo the Wonderin the meantime, and has also been working on a movie originally calledLawless, and which is currently untitled. Now theKnight of Cupspremiere is now set to take place at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2015. Also premiering at the festival will be Kenneth Branagh’sCinderella.
All we know aboutKnight of Cupsis the cast, which featuresChristian Bale,Natalie Portman,Cate Blanchett,Isabel Lucas,Teresa Palmer, andFrieda Pintoamong others. (It isn’t the film for which Malick was shooting at Austin music festivals in 2012; that’s the movie formerly calledLawless.) And even with the three-year wait since its announcement, the arrival of this movie in 2015 still represents a smaller interval than usually exists between Malick movies.
