SoLife of Pihas now been shifted again toNovember 21, where it should have a bit more room to breathe — especially since Alfonso Cuarón’sGravityand Carl Erik Rinsch’s47 Roninjust vacated that same slot to move into 2013. The new date puts Lee’s 3D adaptation ofYann Martel’s acclaimed novel against David O. Russell’sThe Silver Linings Playbook, DreamWorks Animation’sRise of the Guardians, and theRed Dawnremake.

Meanwhile, the studio has penciled inThe Internshipfor a wide opening onJune 28, 2013. The only other film currently scheduled for that exact date is the comic book adaptationR.I.P.D., though there are a few other heavyweights scheduled for earlier that month: the Seth Rogen comedyThe End of the World, Pixar’sMonsters University, the Superman rebootMan of Steel, and the horror adaptationWorld War Z.

Real SteelhelmerShawn Levyis signed on to directThe Internship, but the real draw is its reunion ofWedding Crashersco-starsOwen WilsonandVince Vaughn. Which means you should probably expect to hear it quoted endlessly for many, many months following its mid-summer release.
