Cool Stuff: Mondo’s Emotional ‘Inside Out’ Vinyl Record Series & Album Prints
If you’re a record collector and you love the music of Pixar Animation films, then you may have already realized the disappointing fact thatMichael Giacchino’s score forInside Outis not available on vinyl. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like there’s a release of the full score on vinyl in the future, but the folks at Mondo have a collectible 7" record series that will be available for purchase exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con with album artwork byPhantom City Creative.
However, if you’re unable to be at Comic-Con next week, there will be a chance to get your hands on prints of the album artwork inspired by some real life album covers such as Isaac Hayes’Joy, Hole’sLive Through This, Joni Mitchell’sBlue, and the Smashing Pumpkins’SiameseDream. Each of the 7" records release from Mondo will come with two tracks. Side A on each of the records will have the track “Bundle of Joy” while Side B has a different track on each different record. Here’s the album artwork (viaOh My Disney) with details on each record to accompany them:

Each record will cost $15 and will only be available at the Mondo booth (#835) while supplies last at San Diego Comic-Con from July 21 through July 24. But as we said, if you’re not at the convention next week, you’re able to still get your hands on the stylish record album artwork by Phantom City Creative. Here’s the prints of each record’s artwork, which vary slightly from the album covers themselves:
Each 18x24 print has an edition of 420, and the good news is that only 200 of them will be exclusively available at Comic-Con. The rest of them will go on sale atCyclops Print Workssometime later. Each print will cost you $50, which makes owning the whole collection a little pricey, but if Inside Out is your favorite Pixar movie, then it might be worth it.
Additionally, five of the album covers (all of the emotions–sorry Riley!) will be turned into exclusive prints from Oh My Disney and our friends at Mondo andCyclops Print Works. They will have a run size of only 420; 200 will be on sale at San Diego Comic Con at the Mondo booth (again: #835) and the rest will be on sale at the Cyclops Print Works website at a later date.
